Longacres Country and Equestrian Estate is in Langebaan, conveniently situated on the Cape West Coast an hour and a half's drive approximately 130 km north of Cape Town, near the holiday resort of Club Mykonos. The Estate is approximately 1km from the cool Atlantic Ocean. Close enough for shopping trips or even commuting to work in Cape Town but far enough for peace and quiet.The estate is ideal for horse lovers and persons who want to use the land for small scale cultivation. Olives, vines and a variety of vegetables are being planted with success. It is common to look out of a window and see a duiker, tortoise or rabbit grazing close by or making his way slowly accross your property. There are also springbok, ostriches even camels being kept on the estate by a few owners.
All property owners are obliged to join the home owners association and are subject to the rules and guidelines of the constitution and the rules. The Trustees elected by the members are in turn charged to look after the interest of the area, maintain any common property/areas as well as any assets that may be held collectively by the association. There is an annual/monthly levy payable by the property owners which is reviewed by the home/property owners at the Annual General Meeting.
The zoning and landuse of Longacres Country Estate is AGRICULTURAL SMALLHOLDING, no application to carry out commercial and business activities, other than those directly related to the agricultural zoning and equestrian activities will be supported.
